Rortise Says: Brewed just for bargain booze this lager was indeed a treat to behold. It is always nice to see a super which is 9% bucking the current trend of being reduced to 8.5%, although the 440ml can is slightly disappointing by market leader standards.

The black can is very modern and the spiel is always useful to read to test how drunk you are. After 6 cans of this brew I would challenge anybody to read the back of the can successfully. It is very easy to drink 6 cans of this potent beer as it doesn't have the bad taste that is the propensity of many 9% lagers. All in all not just a good super, a good lager as well.

In Conclusion: The can says new improved flavour and it is certainly that. A definite improvement on many of the supers out there in the flavour stakes. A fairly keen price adds to the appeal but the only downside of Thorougoods is the lack of a 500ml can and as such only a 8/10 can be awarded.
