The Can Says: "Lots
of stuff, including a handy nutrition information"
Rortise
says: Tesco Super is another one of those
supermarket supers which come in 440ml cans and
average at around 8.5% However Tesco Super comes
out at 8.6% whether this extra point one of a
percent makes much difference to the average super
buyer is another question but Tesco obviously
feels that it sells and we at Trampjuice welcome
the trend for stronger beers. The can design is
top notch with a very "year 2000" look
which is very pleasing on the eye. The colour
isn't too eye catching and it is very understated.
Which we like. The ring pull opens with no hassle
at all.

Tesco
handily supply us with nutritional information and
we would like all super lagers to follow suit. As
we can see there are almost 350 calories per can
and so in a four can pack your getting 1400
calories. This is good if your on a diet as you
can have one for breakfast one for lunch and two
for your evening meal also Tesco Super Lager is
100% fat free. Perfect! The news gets even better
as the taste is extremely palatable and the cans
slip down nicely as the alcohol content is
superbly disguised. Unlike most super lagers this
is one which you could drink in place of Stella as
an everyday lager, one which you could share with
the lady in your life, even.

In Conclusion: Tesco Super
promised a lot and it certainly delivered on these
promises. Straight from the can design to the
refreshing taste this brew constantly achieved top
marks with the only detraction being the brand
name and the size of the cans. We commend Tesco
upon putting the nutritional information on its
cans to help guide super lager buyers everywhere.
Tesco Super is perfect in almost every way but its
lack of a 500ml can size lets it down as such it
still achieves a perfectly reasonable 9/10 |
