The Can Says: "Very
strong lager serve well chilled"
Rortise
says: Stryke super was indeed a rare
find. Recently a vide zone was set up near to our
local school, presumably to profit on the underage
drinking epidemic sweeping our nation. It sells a
wide range of alcopops, along with generic supers
and Frosty Jack cider and as such is a haven for
low lifes. On arrival I saw the price of 4
Tennents - £7!! but then my eyes swept upon the
golden can of Stryke Super for only £4.89 and a
full 500ml this was bound to be a enjoyable
review. Combine this with 8.5% and dehydration
from a game of football and we were on to a
winner.

On
appearance the can seems to have ripped off both
Tennents and Special Brew. The gold colour is an
almost direct reproduction of the famous Carlsberg
gold and the circle is very Tennents in
appearance. However, this is not a bad thing
neither is copying the market leaders in going for
a 500ml can, for this we commend Stryke. Not being
a brand name we were wary as to the quality of
beverage and this wariness was not unfounded. The
taste is surprisingly good, if slightly mild in
comparison to other rivals. This means that the
alcohol is hidden well, and is thus quite and easy
drink to get drunk on. Served cold or warm it is
still a good brew, one to start a night out on
really.

In Conclusion: Stryke
super was indeed a surprise. What a stroke of luck
a shop opening selling this beverage close to the
tramp juice review site! However, this brew has
its weak points. Basically its rarity means that
the general tramp public are unaware of its
residence in local shops. Saying this, its mild
taste and aroma makes this brew a good beginners
super and so this brew is awarded a mere 5/10

and only Kestrel but entirely drinkable"
Bigdave says: "Tastes
a bit different to other lagers but I would
imagine after a few the taste wouldn't really
matter" |
