The Can Says: "8.0%
Premium" Rortise
Says: Is this a super? At only 8% it could be
said not to be. It doesn't even claim to be a
super, merely "strong beer" however a
500ml can works in its advantage. If Sainsbury's
can claim that 7.5% is a super then this surely is
a super as well. The sleek black design is good
but its availability in the UK is not. This brew
didn't promise much but would it deliver on the
little that it did promise?
The
ring pull was quite some effort to open which
suggested a somewhat industrial super. The smell
was one of gone off lager which was never a good
sign. The taste itself was a tad wheaty with no
harsh after taste or surprises on the palette. In
comparison to some supers it does taste good but
to compared to Bavaria it doesn't therefore it is
a somewhat middle of the road super. The strength
is hidden well but as it is only 8% it is nearer
the strength of Stella than Amsterdam Maximator.
In
Conclusion: This super didn't have much to
live up to which is all fair and well because if
it had it wouldn't have lived up to them. It isn't
dire like LCL or Asda but it isn't great either.
Also it is quite hard to get hold of which also
detracts from this brew. Therefore a fair 4/10
is awarded. The

like council pop" NOTE:
