The Can Says: "Award Winning Strong Lager"

Rortise Says: First impressions were good when the sexy little can shot out at me in the shop. A 500ml can is always a sure sign as to a winning super albeit with 8.5% not up to the strength of Super T or Special Brew. The allusion to the award was good to see - but what award has LCL super actually won? E-mails on a postcard!

The can has a very "new" and "happening" design with its crisp lines and bold logo. On opening the can the smell was overwhelming. Overwhelmingly bad. It basically reeked of chemicals - LCL super? More like ICI super! But I digress. It surely can't taste as bad as it smells. Upon pouring the orangey colour looked more akin to a certain bodily function. When tasted I would rather of drank the aforementioned function. This super is just awful. Enough said.

In Conclusion: At the start of the review I thought this super would have a "well balanced and rounded taste" like it says on the can. The LCL website also says to treat this lager with "respect" that you should as it is completely disgusting. The worst review that any of us have undertaken. Ever. This brew is thus awarded a low score with its only saving grace being the can design. 1/10
