Introduction: The
"Best Super Strength Lager" category is
the most coveted of the newly established
Trampjuice awards. This award goes to the the
super which has the best trade off between stret
cred, value for money, availability and alcohol
content. The award
aims to show discerning consumers which super to
buy when no previous knowledge of the superlager
industry is assumed. The
eventual winner will have to have impressed all of
the judges and will be based on its merits, not
upon previous reviews. Predictions: Favourite:

awards: Winner:
Special Brew
Runner Up: Super T This
award was perhaps the most eagerly awaited out of
all of the categories. By the time we sat down to
debate the various merits of each can we were by
far and away inebriated and as such memories are
sketchy at best. We
all decided upon eliminating Kestrel from running
almost straight away. Although it did have its
merits it could just not cope with the sheer
street cred of the two heavyweight contenders in
this match up. After
much debating and pontificating the merits of both
of the remaining contenders were plain to see.
Both were well established, both were priced
similarly and both were the same ABV and had the
same can size. It was all going to boil down to
street cred and taste. A
unanimous decision was reached with all of us
agreeing that Super T had the most street cred,
there was just no compromise. However, the taste
of Special Brew far outweighed the street cred
benefits that Super T provided. Not
being to separate these leviathans of the super
lager world by conventional methods we decided to
ask the local
kebab men which they thought was the best.
They said Special Brew so that is our winner of
Best Super Lager award.
